Chris, I'm just doing one motor, so for the moment just want to fix what's broken - you bring up another issue - I thought I had Gen IV blocks (I noticed on the list you posted in the other thread on block casting numbers however that there is no Gen IV 502, I'll check my block numbers) Again, I really appreciate the time you're taking to give me this info, I'd be absolutely lost without the brotherhood. - Jeff

You should hve no problem finding a188 head. Watch ebay, racingjunk.com or keep an eye out here- or post a "wanted" Also, PM Eddie at Young's Performance or Dean Gellner (mrhorsepower1) and ask- thy may have take-offs from aluminum upgrades.
You need to find out what bottoms you have to know what gaskets to buy or what mods to make. If they're Mark IV, they'd have to be Bowties. They're identifiable by casting number or down on the block apron you'll see a raised bowtie. More likely they're early GenV blocks-

damn, I just checked my block numbers and I have #10051107's the Mark IV Bowtie 4 bolt main 9.8" deck motors and the bore is 4.5". I guess that I have 509's. What package was this? - Jeff
