As far as I know, yes. If it's black....send it back!
I was told by the technical department after I installed and ran the “black” camshaft, induction hardened 8150, that this particular camshaft was not as strong as the “copper colored” oil quench 8620 cam for marine application. I was also told that Crane had experienced some failures in the marine environment.

Trying to find a new one.
I found a 139021 but that is for a Gen 4 and can't use cam retainer and stock cover.
Called Crane and they said they don't even have a time frame as when they will have more.
I tried Summit(they said end of June thru Crane) and Jegs no luck.
Might even consider a used one.
