Run a search on here. They have a "history".

If it's going into a boat, deal with someone who does marine engines- and a list of satisfied references.

I have a used Gen 6 shortblock. It is 509 ci at this point. I still have not bought pistons yet, so you can tell me what you want for pistons and compression ratio. Let me know if you are interested and we can discuss pricing.

What will you take for it as is or tore down, or however you have it at this point. I assume that it is broken.

It is not broken. I decided to build a pair of 540's and my other block was junk, so i bought 2 new blocks to start fresh. This block has been bored 30 over so it is now a 509. The crank and rods have been checked and the whole assy will be balanced. I just have not decided what compression pistons I want to put in it. I was going to put this engine in a street car, but have shelved that idea.

I am not sure what to ask for the block, crank and rods in a basket???
