Thanks for the tips.. I appreciate it.. Oh, about the not planning on running in hard or rough seas....
Well, I meant not yet, as I am in the middle of a repower.. I plan on getting accustomed to the boat first, and then taking a HP class, to learn to drive it a bit better with the new power..
I am not a very experienced boater in terms of years of operating experience, but I do have lots of experice with fast cars and motorbikes which helps with reflexes, coordination, and judging speed etc.. Thought I'd give the boat thing a try, as there are no speed limits on the lakes and oceans.. Well, not yet, except for the no wake zones etc..
I also figure I can learn in baby steps with a good foundation, and with the wealth of experience on this forum, I gotta pick up some good things...
I think I will essentialy put the 380s in the same place as the Bennets. (.5 inch range from bottom of transom) Seems to be the consensus way to go according to you and others I have spoken to about it...
