have a baja hammer with the exhaust running below the swim platform. I want to run some ss tips, but am concered that when i come to a stop water will come in if i'm not running the flaps. should i buy the ss tips with flappers in them or will i be ok without?

I have the same setup on my 32 Pachanga, bought two five inch tips with flappers from Diamond, installed and looking great. Wasnt sure if I needed the flappers but the peace of mind was worth it.

coming to a stop with the engine running is not the problem, sitting still with the engine off is when you need the flappers, put flappers in the sys. somewhere, in the tips or further up the line, but make sure you put them in, or you could back wash into the engine and hydro-lock it.
