I added new guages and need to change the temp sender on a 496 ho. The procomp sending unit and adapters are not the size of the original sender. Is there another place on the block for a sending unit or is there some kind of special adapter. The original sender does not work well with the new guage. Thanks ahead for the help.

If it is smaller you can use a bushing. If it isnt you are kinda SOL.. I know that Livorsi makes one that will fit.. Jamie / Lakeside

I replaced the sender in my 496 Mag HO with a livorsi unit when I installed my Whipple. It threaded right in & no leaks..

Anyone know the thread for these holes on the 496 manifolds?
I'm freshwater cooling mine and need tp plug the holes with something (using them on a 454). Currently have a 3/8-16 bolt in there with a heavy wrap of Teflon tape, and yes they leak. Only ran it on the engine cradle - now it's in the boat and this is on my list of 'stuff' to address before I splash.
Thanks.
