Unhappy 98 5.7 Efi

I had a 89 5.0 carb mercruiser with a Alpha drive. At the end of the season the motor let go and I came across a 98 5.7 EFI with a Bravo 2. I swapped the engines and kept the Alpha. I now find that the engine doesn't have a shift interrupter and am looking for any info as to how to hook one up without hurting anything

You can add the shift interrupt components that came on an Alpha equipped 5.7EFI to the exisiting shift bracket. Look here to note the differences between the Alpha and Bravo brackets. The wiring harness should already have hookups for the switch.
