Yesterday i was running a 496 HO for several minutes @ + 4000 rpm and buzzer went off. Slowed down to 2000 rpm, no more beeping. Visually checked instrumentation, water temp, oil pressure etc everything fine. No leaks at the engine, all perfect levels etc. After a few minutes running again @ +4000, buzzer went of again.
Did the ECU fault codes read out (diacom) and “low oil psi str” (+ guardian mode) showed up.
What’s happening ? How to resolve this problem? Engine only has 65 hrs…
Steering oil level ok, steering oil not even warm…
Thx for all info & replys

Low oil pressure str - the "str" is short for strategy, meaning the PCM thinks you have low oil pressure. If the oil pressure gauge does not also show low oil pressure, then it may be just a problem with the oil pressure sensor. Check the oil pressure with your Diacom software to see what it's doing.

Thx dave
My first opinion was str = steering
when engine is cold, oil pressure = +8 on the gauge (= max)
after warming up always +4 is more then half the gauge (faria instruments)
I will check this with the diacom and if possible switch the pressure switch

@ Dave
You're the man![Ernaehrung004](/forums/images/smilies/ernaehrung004.gif)
Changed the oil pressure switch and ran the engine for + 10 min at WOT connected to the diacom
No more buzzer, oil pressure always between 385 and 415
perfect
thx for the info reg peter
