Question cam duration 228/ 236 @50 .601 lift on Intake exhaust with a 112"cl

Hello,
I have a brand new 502vi 435 hp motor and I going with a roller camshaft from ultra dyne (bulletcams) with a duration of 228/ 236 @50 .601 lift on Intake exhaust with a 112" center line and I'm going to run a set of eddie marine manifolds with the short stainless risers with a set of corsa driveters will it be ok... or will I have problems with water reversion?

Hey I have the same boat as you, mine has the 502 carb 390hp stock, what kind of speed are you seeing with 435 hp? what prop are you running?

The boat ran 64 mph with the 454 330hp I have been doing motor upgrades and never ran the boat with the 435 hp when I reinstall the engine it will be 550hp plus and about 600 ftlbs or more of torque what speed will your boat run now 71?
Here is a link to my rides I will be posting the motor pic upgrades soon.

You need to be real carefull with that hull and that kind of power as it will become a handfull in the mid 70's and higher. I had a customer put a Lingenfelter engine in one with around 600HP in and around '92 down on Cumberland lake and she got away from him and ended up on the bank. That hull is not built for high speed.

You must be going by the speedo #'s which arent accurate. My boat had the wrong prop on it 21p.. spinning over 5k my speedo was 66-67 actual gps 59mph with a few people in the boat and a full tank of gas. When i put the 23p on hopefully 62-63 maybe 65 with a light load.. I will know soon. your link doesnt work unless you are registered. Keep posting on how things are going!

You are on the edge as far as reversion. Let it warm up first, then run it at idle for a few minutes, shut it down and pull a riser. If there is water reverting, some times it can be cured by raising the idle. If not you can try welding a 6 inch extension on the exhaust portion of the riser.
