Default Mermaid A/C Help

I have the Mermaid 6500 BTU model w/ reverse cycling. The unit seems like it is just blowing hot air. The compressor is running, pump is running, the sea strainer is clean and flowing water properly. The pickup vent is 4"x6" which should be adequate. Not sure what else to check. Could a switch or Valve be stuck? Thermostat bad? Any help would be appreciated.

I wondered that too, but I don't have anyway to test it myself.

Check the red rubber overpressure switch on the unit. Push it a few times and try again.

Rob,

The unit is about a year old. The unit was working when I purchased the boat this spring. How late is to late to call? I may stop by the shop tomorrow as I work in Fredericksburg.

Good, they have been really good on any problems, which I have not seen many that did not come from something else in the 7 years I've been a dealer.....Rob
