Question 496 mag won't start

used the cruiser today and one of the 496 mags just shut off while cruising and will not start. just turns over, but will not fire up. Any idea what went bad?

Put a feul gage on the shrader valve located on the fuel rail and check to see how fuel pressure you're producing. Should be like 40-43. Does it act like it wants to start, or does it just turn?

Check the barrel connector, make sure it's tight.

Do you have good spark while cranking? What about vapor lock? Does it start after it cools off?

One of my Mag H.O's shut down suddenly after I got the boat up on plane. Turned out the computer was the cause, which sucked because they are expensive, but an easy repair!
