28 apache / twin 502 mpi /bravos /25p 4 blade hydromotives and $10,000
thinking pro chargers or whipple charger would be the easiest MPH
Any other ideas ?????
Could squeak out a couple more 1000's like 12k 13k but not much more.
Any idea how much MPH I could pick up?? Also which part of the bravo is most likely to fail??

How efficient is your curent setup? Top speed and RPM. Have you checked to see if the bottom of your hull is still straight.
Also, What exhaust do you have?

I dont think you could get into the whipples with intercoolers for 10k. I could be wrong, but I looked a while back and they are fantastic units, but pricey.
For unadulterated speed, go with prochargers. You could swing two kits with intercoolers for about 10k. I think on the FI motors you'll need to have the ecm tuned for maximum reliability and performance... so kick in another grand or so.
All the data I have read says that B1's are gonna break with big power when you abuse them. Drag race out of the hole, etc. So I concluded that the prochargers might be the best power adder for these applications, because they DONT build boost immediately like a roots or screw blower does. But it does make huge strides once everything is in action.
If your like me, you can only afford to do one thing at a time. So I am gonna do prochargers and baby the B1's while I save for some XR's.

Trying to squeeze 600+ out of a stock 502 is going to put major stress on the bottom ends. The stock heads won't support that level of power either. Lastly, the Bravos are only going to take that power level with some mods and some very careful use. Holeshots and jumps will reduce their lifespan to an afternoon.

AFR 315CNC's are going to set you back about $3500 a set, cam & lifters- $1000, Exhaust- $3000, Intake & carb- $1200, another $500 in incidentals (fasteners and another grand + for the coolers, roller rockers etc that will need upgrading..
Sounds like $20 grand plus on iffy bottom ends. before you start thinking about the driveline.

I had over 200hrs on a stock 502mag with a Whipple. I just recently freshened up the top-end with some ARP head studs, Cometic head gaskets and some stainless steel valves. The stock heads will support 600HP and the bottom end is forged. Budget some money for the Bravo One because you will run into some problems sooner or later. I've lost the top and bottom in my Bravo One and I always baby it out of the hole. It's just not designed to hold that much power and torque.

If your going to suppercharge them Wipples are higher price but well worth the money and the install is alot cleaner and alot less problems. When you do the math on all your options Whipple are the best bang for the buck. clpbs.com
