Cool

A stock BBC can easily run 6000 rpm. It's just a matter of lifespan. Keep the R's down and the engine will last a lot longer. Your not going to blow it apart at 6000 rpm. Just make sure you have good valve springs. Valve float is what will kill a stock engine.

I heard a rumor that CMI was coming out with a "tweek" kit. The 525 cam, computer and exhaust are included. Big $$ for 40 hp.

Exclamation If nothing works then why......

If nothing works to increase power in the HP500 EFI then why is there a discussion every year about cheating in F1 and F2?

If there is no way to make more than 40Hp more, and 40 Hp doesn't mean squat in a boat, then why would someone even consider making the claim that you can cheat? And why would APBA care about the seals? I mean, if there is no way to make more power without bolting a blower on the motor, whats the problem?

Great point on the motor. Why not just require the intake, TB, ECU and exhaust and displacement for Factory class.
