Default Need last few MPH !

Here goes, been reading OSO for years but never posted a thread, so bear with me.Boat is an Eliminator 250 eagle open bow, whippled 500efi (793 Hp- probably 700 to 730 hp @prop), Bravo xr with sportmaster shorty.
Can't get past 92mph, boat doesn't seem to care if it has 5 big guys and a full tank, or just me and 1/4 tank of fuel- always seems to hit a wall at about the 92mph mark. So far I've tried the following- 30p bravo 4 with 2 inch shorty= 92 mph, bumping off rev limiter @5700 like crazy. Added 2 inch spacer, same prop= 92 mph @5100 rpm (way better slip #s),
labbed 30p= 92mph @5500 rpm, 28p bravo 4= 89mph, bumping rev limiter again. Like to try a 1" spacer, but don't really want to spend the $ for possibly no gain.Is this about all I'm going to get from this set up, or am I missing something?
I know there were a few guys on this site with similar set ups claiming to run past the century mark. Where do I go from here, or should I just be happy with a 92mph bowrider

Sounds much like our 1997 TopGun project a few years back after adding big power, changing X dimensions, props etc it was like hitting a brick wall.

Some imperfections on the bottom of our hull was holding us back.

It may be worth taking a look at we went from the mid 80s into the low 90s by eliminating a hook!
Good luck!

Maybe try a 5 blade on the 2" shorty. There's a few used ones in the classifieds.

you might want to do the math... the drag profile at 92 mph is huge. to go from 92 mph to 97 mph is probably another 150 hp at a guess. you may very well be drag limited at this point.
