how big can i make a bbc merlin block
guys,ive got a tall deck 10.200 merlin block,,how big can i make it?? ,,i know i can go 632'',but can i get much bigger,its not going in a boat but im using the left over parts from my 3 cig engines,and thinking of throwing it in a 69 camaro ive got from years ago,,any thoughts?

I have built a 664 cu.in. 10.200 deck engine over 15 plus years ago before they started building 11.625 deck and other blocks with various deck heights. It ran excellent but very hard on pistons due to the extremely short skirt length. I would stay with 4.750 stroke and 4.600 bore= 632 cu.in. The 664 used a 5.00" stroke with an oliver rod, and let me tell you things were tight! She ran 6.75 e.t. @ 215 MPH N/A no nitrous.

yes,im thinking 632'',ive got a block ,heads,intake,carb,cam[but i might need a bigger one] and all the misc stuff,,i just need a crank and rods,,should run good in the ex-pro stock/progas cavalier im looking at,and yes im running it on the street

We have a couple std/std cola's from their best period of quality. They are 4.75",external balance,single key-way...also have new matching take off fluid dampeners and reverse ring gear flywheels.
