Thumbs up Nice Work !

22Daytona:

Awesome job on that 496 Raylar/Whipple package! You've done an incrdible job of fitting and finishing your complete package.
I am glad we could help with all the Raylar parts & pieces to help the performance and look, Its sure not the "Black Blob" that Mercruiser delivers. I am sure Bob's dyno and his help will turn up some nice numbers.
Like to know how you got that carbon fiber effect on the coolant overflow resivior. Let us know.
Been great working with you and look forward to some results.
Best of Luck!

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

Thanks for the compliments and all the returned phone calls Ray. Give me a shout when you get a chance and I can hook you up on the bottles. By the way I can do valve covers, heat exchangers or pretty much anything that will fit in a 4' x 7' vat.
I can also do it in any color like Mercury Racing Blue.
Thanks again Mitch 903-738-2007

What size Hardin Marine oil cooler is that on the oil side, 700 hp or 1000 hp rated?

Well I spent a long day at Full Throttle Marine yesterday. It took Bob and I from 9:00 am till about 1:30 to get the motor on the dyno and all the hoses wires and fuel lines connected. He made a few light runs on it to break it in and let it cool down several times. We finally hammered it to 4900 and made 585hp on the first run. Next we pulled it to 5400 and turned 608hp. The fuel curve was to rich at WOT so we leaned the regulator down to try it. The final pull was 635hp at 5300 and 741ft of torque at 4000 with 7psi of boost. We new the map had to be recalibrated so we sent the info and the computer to Dustin. I think it will make 650hp when it gets back. I left the motor on the dyno and will pick it up later.
I would like to say, Bob opened his shop and his tool box to let me work so that made the day very nice. Thanks Bob.

The oil cooler is a Eddie marine 3". I think it is for 700hp. I know the oil stayed very cool on the dyno. The steering is a Zieger unit. Call Dave at Northcoast Performance Marine. He has all the info on the old style 22 and the new one. 330-494-3115. Tell him Mitch sent you.
