I changed the jets for 78 and 89 and now it's at 10.9-11.1:1 from "high" idle to 4000rpm.

I will try to put in 3.5PV's next time and perhaps the 86's I've got. I must check when the sec's open as well.

Thomas,
Leave the 6.5 PV's in. Like I mentioned before this is a safe tune up. 11.0:1-11.5:1 is a good target. How is the idle also?

Because thats how you get your max tourqe and HP where you need it.

I know in europe they think a dyno is just to verify how much HP you got, but thats just a little side thing a dyno will do !!!!

Sorry
We have 50 years of tuning Holley style carbs.

Fuel system sounds very good! If you can maintain constant fuel PSI 7 1/2 to 8 PSI is fine.

So you think I should stay with 11:1? It looks like it's too rich since the transom gets pretty black in 15minutes.

I would like to go up a tad in afr though. I would like to get to an afr above 12:1 and then have the ability to go safer from there when I need to. I assume if I go down another 10% in jets I will gain about 1 point on the afr? The AEM afr gauge should be accurate.

I didn't touch the idle screws but the idle was still better and looped less than before.

I will get right on it! Thanks.

How much power and boost do you think my engine should be able to handle?

My Dyno guy wanted to put on other blower pulleys to go to 10-12PSI, instead of the 8.15PSI I got at 5800 (since he tought it was a bit too gentle and that it would be a waste not to boost it some more...) and get around 900HP but what would my lower end think about that?
