Default marine carb selection

Hello,

I looking at replaceing my holley 800 carb, I would like to try another brand carb instead of holley. I know quick fuel is not a marine carb but heard they are very good. Any suggestions on a 850 or 900 carb selection.

The question I would ask is what don't you like about your Holley 800? Every carb over 750 cfm is just a reworked holley. Other than blueprinting each orifice, replaceable air bleeds, etc. they're just the same old holley design, and in the vast majority of cases, even the same castings.

Also, unless there is something seriously messed up with your 800, it should be completely rebuildable. In fact, it's a very easy rebuild, requiring no real knowledge of carburators, just common sense.

Anybody can rebuild a carb but tunning is a hole different story. Your carb is a key item on your boats performance. A lot of people just take a carb out of the box and slap it on and ride. But if you get a carb supertuned from Nickerson it is like a whole new engine and it feels and acts like fuel injection.

Its not worth the time and agravation trying to tune your carb at the lake.

The best money ever spent will be paying Nickerson to work your carb over.
