Default IMCO "Thumper Power" exhaust

I am looking into a set of exhaust for the 383. Right now my choices are (because of budget) the IMCO "thumper power" or Eddie Marine EMI's.

Has anyone heard anything about these IMCO exhaust .. good?... bad?.... Flatlander racing is selling the IMCO manifolds & riser kit for $850.. I just don't want to buy these then find out they are a junk design or somethin... SO tell me what the gossip is about these..

anyone have a used Hi Per. exhaust for sale?

Thanks

Travis

As you know, I'm running the EMI's on my big block. No problems here. Talk to Tyler Crocket. He dyno tested both models you are looking at and has info on them. I believe he is a EMI distributor too.

wish i could help am in the exact same sittuation.. new 383 comming.....gil manifolds with 1 hour on them.. and thru drive set up...gill wants as much for the risers and tails.. ..as most others manifold -riser -tail pipe setup.....the budget is not to tight but why the big price dif....? is ti worth spending the xtr $$.... i do knwo the gil manifolds i replaced right before blowing a gasket which were gil..were 12 yrs old... used primarily in salt... so that is a good testimony to thier quality..
