For future, don't forget that if you use any aftermarket antifreeze, you need to add about half water.

I have seen Mercury Antifreeze on the shelf before that was "pre-mixed" meaning that it is the only type of antifreeze I've ever heard of that you could dump in without having to mix. It actually should NOT be mixed...

Sorry to hear of your loss.

You can go to a junk yard and ask for a long block out of a wrecked 3/4 ton truck. And if so, I'd check it out real good and put all the stock stuff right back on. You can buy a brand new set of stock 496 heads for cheap, cheap.
