Default exhaust flappers

i have a 03 prowler with a 496ho,i would like to remove the flappers, the tips have a flap on the inside of them. is it safe to remove the outside flaps thanks in advance

If they have internal flappers then you can remove the outer ones.

But keep a eye on the internal flappers over time, Do not let the rubber flaps ware away or burn off.

thanks guys, i did notice the internal flappers,with engine off did not make a complete seal and had a gap on the sides,is this normal?

Yeah, they don't fit perfectly or seal tight. They are really there to stop large water intrusion from a wave when the engine is off.
