Best answer I heard yet,you beat me to it. A good carb intake with large plenum area (like a edelbrock victor) and a f.a.s.t throttle body with gm type connectors you could essentially plug all your stuff right into it with some small rigging differences. Of course it will have to be re-tuned BUT any intake you swap to will require this,Smitty

The motors were just put together an Innovation, and I am not impessed with the final hp(but that is not Innovation Marine's fault); my father ordered these motors and cams (short blocks before he passed away) -- 540's with a mild compression (doesn't help make hp, but is cost effective for fuel) and a mild cam with Gil exhaust and silent choice restrict how big a cam that can be utilized to gain more hp.

I am really suprised that there is not an aftermarket plenum with bigger cfm available for this application. I am not against throwing a Dart intake and an 1150 Dominator on top, but for now it will stay an EFI boat.
You definately don't need or want that much carb. A 950cfm will be plenty.

Wink

Call me toll free at (866) 496-8181. I think I have a couple of EFI setups for a 540 package on rectangular port big block heads that are configured for 600HP on a MEFI ECM just like your 415/502 mercruiser engines.

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

I called cp today, credit card in hand ready to buy MULTIPLE set-ups as the link shows (519$ tall deck,529$ for short deck),when it comes down to it all your going to get is a edelbrock throttle body at the price shown, the kit thats shown and described is actually 895$ which still isn't too bad of a deal. Someone made a mistake and it will be corrected sometime,Smitty

Seems quite reasonable if it does what they claim.

Thank you for putting me in the right direction if a change of intake happens, at least I know what is required
