Fuel sender help
Ok, I currently have a float type sender that is 17 years old. I want to replace it with a new one. I just put new Faria gauges in the boat. Is the electric sender a lot better than the float type? If so will a Gaffrig fuel sender work with my Faria gauges?
Thanks in advance.

fuel sender
Can't say for sure the Gaffrig tube type fuel sender will work with Faria. The sender works great though. Much, much more stable than float type. Infinitely more accurate. If it doesn't work with the Faria, buy a Gaffrig fuel gauge. It's worth it to get the sender.
Better yet, call Gaffrig. They will tell you if their tube sender works with Faria.
Don't forget ! You have to run an additional wire from sender to positive 12volts at the gauge for operation of new sender.
Good luck.

Yes it will work. It will read that you have SLIGHTLY more gas in the boat then you actually do. ALSO MEASURE YOUR TANK and have them make you the tube. I know a lot of guys that have messed up the sender trying to do it themselves. Mine currently has the Faria guage as I have not had time to redue the dash. It works VERY well. Once I ran out of gas one day I know the limit
