Mystery wire
Have twin 454efi mags 385hp, each engine has a four wire conector comning off the wiring harness close to the computer. There is a wire pluged in the starboard conector that jumps two pins together and a third wire four feet long conects to another pin ending with a plug conected to the port engine conector. I've been told this allows a scaner to read both engines at once on a split screen. My question is why is the jumper wire only on one engine?

Thanks for the reply Audiofn, I don't think so, It's been like that for five years and that is the stronger of the two engines, If anyone has another guess let me know.
