BBC / TRS Oil line routing
I am changing my original one piece transmission/housings over to different trans. and bell housings the with coolers and plates. My oringal set up did not have remote filters or even engine coolers. My question is:
"How it should be plumbed with a remote filter and TRS Bell housing engine cooler" I understand the other housing cooler is for the transmission.
Q. # 1) Does the new return line from the remote filter go to the new oil cooler in the housing and then route back to the cap on the block?
Q. # 2) Also is it best to purchase a kit if buying new without the oil lines and intall everything then measure for the proper length due to not being sure at the moment where the remote filter will be
Q. # 3) Is Merc. origial equipment lines just pipe thread? Rather than using AN fittings I would like to be able to have the local parts store make the lines up as I need them. This is in an older boat and I just want to make it neat, clean and not leak. I have not used the AN fittings however if I decided to is that easy to work with and where is the best place to purchase it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
