Dyno results are in!!!!!!!
Made several pulls today.
Unfortunately, my stock Merc ignition wouldn't stay lit around 4000rpm under load. More than likely the '94 original coil is bad. Closed plug gap from .035 to .020, this helped some, but still missed out at 4500.
Then installed MSD distrib, wires and box.
Problem solved.
Best pull: timing at 32*
624.9hp @ 5500 (and climbing)
655.3 ft. lbs @ 4600
2nd best was: timing at 34*
621.4hp @ 5500,
646.4 ft. lbs @ 4600
however the exhaust temps where more desirable, so this will be the setting
Carb jetting was right on.
5 lbs of boost
It's going to be a good year on the water!!!!!!!!!
No spare tire for transporting my motor

Nice!
I see you've got the right stuff in your garage...a Fountain, a drive on the rack, a blower motor on a stand, and a torpedo heater to keep them warm for the winter.
Can't wait to see them all together on the water.

Jerry,
Cool! I think I know where a few 32 Fountains at lake Cumberland for ya to run are! Hope to see that beast on the water this summer. You went with MSD over the Crane?

Did you open the plug gaps back up? The MSD likes about .045

US1 Fountain,
Nice set up, I can't wait to hear some performance #s. I am curious, did you cut a hole in you sunpad, or have some type of scoop?? Looks like that blower sits up pretty high.
Lets see 620ish HP I bet you nail 85mph or more dialed in right. What prop you going to use, Hydro 29??
