Default oil filter adapter?

whats the dirrrence between a mark-4,454 and a gen5,502 oil filter adapter?will they interchange?

The filter pad is different. Gen V and Gen VI are the same. On Mark IV blocks the filter pad is stepped for the inlet and outlet. On gen V and VI the inlet and outlet are in the same plane (height).
