If u dont have extension boxes ,,u will not need longer tabs.
it will actually be bad for the speed and handling.
+ u would need to cut them down in an angle because your props would hit them around the dock ( ok,,can hit them ).
The welding,,,mmmhhhh,,i dont think its really that good of an idea.
I have seen them where people make extensions and bolt them to the 280's.
But like i said ,,,i would leave it.

Give it a shot, I'm sure the plate part wouldn't be that difficult to fabricate. However you may not be much ahead money-wise after you buy materials and the amount of time you spend fabricating them. Depending on how much you value your time of course...

I can get the parts at almost no cost what so ever. A friend of mine is a Fabrication teacher at a Voc school so they pretty much pay for it all i do is drop of measurements and the do it for me. ANd if they cant i have a tig at my shop and all fab tools to do it with him getting the material for me.
thanks

If you do buy them, just make sure you get the correct ones. The newer style use a larger pin. The pivot pin has a plastic sleeve on it. The older ones had a smaller pin hole since there is no sleeve on the pin.
