We had been using Holley pumps with poor results. The castings had become tired which allowed oil to seep past the diaphragm and up the vent tube to the carburetors. Bob Teague/Adrian were very good about exchanging them, but after 5 sets it became apparent a change of course was at hand.

CV had just started marketing a billet pump for Nascar which we felt had potential. Our participation included a change to the billet body for strength, redesign of the diaphragm to promote durability and stabilize pressures, encouraging different diaphragms for different fuel pressures so that regulators could be eliminated, stainless steel fittings, and of course the USCG approved vent.

This has been several years ago, but the marine pumps everyone is buying now is end product.

Of course, if you are not having good luck with them..... we had nothing to do with the design

The latest "Powerboat", Pg. 24, advertises a Weldon Electric pump, in tank submerged or anywhere. Price, $310.00.

Specs. in "Powerboat" are not as described on their website.

CV BILLET FUEL PUMPS NOTHING BUT THE BEST FOR A MECHANICAL BOLT ON. The only bad thing is, you have to buy the Marine pump with the red spring than change it out for a lower psi. They used to do it when you ordered it , but cost became a factor.

Nice price on the pump, have to check on that installation into tank, wonder if it will keep up with the demands of supercharger applications .
