I WAS TOLD I NEED TO INSTALL AN EXTERNAL WATER PICKUP BECAUSE THE DRIVE WONT SUPPLY ENOUGH WATER TO THE NEW MOTOR A PROCHARGED 572. IF I DO NEED IT WHERE DO I PUT IT AND WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE EXISTING DRIVE COOLING HOSE AND INTAKES. WHICH EXTERNAL STEERING UNITS DO YOU GUYS PREFER IN SALT WATER AND ARE THERE ANY GOOD DEALS OUT THERE FOR SINGLE/ DUAL RAM ASSIST UNITS . THANKS BRYON

I bought my IMCO steering system from Teague Custom Marine. the price was less than buying direct and the kit was very complete. I'm using it in fresh water but it was designed for salt. It's a very good product.

The BRAVO / BBC seawater pump is probably big enough to feed 2 engines since most of the water is being bypassed into the exhaust to quiet it. The only reason for needing an external water pick up is if your water inlets don't collect enough water. Then all you need to do is put on a nose cone with low water pick up.
