Thanks for the info UD. I want a 19'-22' boat with a SBC and your build info will come in handy.

Thanks, it takes time and effort to post detailed info and picts, it seems to be rarely rewarded with equally detailed info and documentation from those making claims.

How many HP does the wicked crate GM LS-7 put out through its excellent manifold - super unobtanium parts, dry sump, small block put out - 505 HP. go check out what it costs online to buy this HP. Then marinize it.

Everyone has a way to do it way better and cheaper- except they dont.

Reliable HP costs money no matter the "block".

There are lots of "music players" that mean well but ultimately post no real info, data or offer realistic invitations to walk the walk..

I still don't get this marinize it thing.
What put brass freeze plugs in it?
You may have to change the cam if your exhaust doesn't allow for a long duration.
Check out cnc-motorsports.com if you need someone to provide some real info.
Check out this build even with an aftermarket dart spayed block to start.

I agree - very cool- Looks like a great place to start for sure, Im sure the mill really sings.

Buut - Thats just a long block- not a ready run its a BASE.

that engine you picked is baseline HP is 550+@6200 and Torque is 520+@4900- sure - through what exhaust?
Auto headers on a dry dyno Id bet- what octane gas?

6500 + read some fine print add a real set of rockers, and some good not cheapo bearings and the price goes up....then add delivery ok lets finish the whole job....

whos exhaust? - ever tried it with that cam & manifold?

acessories? Plus Mounts & plumbing

Sea pump? plus mounts brakcets & pulleys remember that!

Carb & Tuning or - Fuel Injection?

ignition- ? what crank trigger? + distributor , rev limiter,
wiring- plumbing? cooling?

Tstat controlled oil Cooler + plumbing?

Assembly? Installation?

What have you put into the "whole investment", and will it last 10 years?

Everything that you have just brought up about the extras is 100% void in this discussion. All those parts you need to buy either way no matter the engine your running. And every single bought purchased new will be cheaper for a small block then a big block.
I don't know forsure about this but if you get long enough risers or a long set of tube headers won't that allow you to run a longer duration camshaft?
