Hey I got it! Lets get a group OSO ins rate. Anyone know of a writer on the board? I'm 31 No claims living in Philadelphia. I can NOT find a rate under $1,500 for single 28 sunsation. I was lookin to get a twin boat next year, But can't afford boat payments and ins payments without selling crack on corner. Hey I got it I just keep selling Mark Beer!

Wife was rear ended in my truck last yr by an uninsured driver that was driving on suspended license to boot. Our ins. took care of us at no out of pocket expense.
Our renewel came a couple months ago at a good increase. We called to inquire and was told by our agent..........
" Studies have shown that people involved in a previous accident with a non insured motorist, that WE are more likely to be in an accident again within 3 yrs!"

We now have a new carrier!

BTW, we had Allstate on the boat for 3 yrs, $550/yr. Made a $6000 claim this summer. Paid all with no problem.

Note, not all ins. companies cover for use on the Great Lakes or even past a set distance from your home. Just a couple of heads ups.

How did you get them to write for agreed value? Did they offer it upfront or did you have to argue for it

Funny, they asked ME how much I wanted to insure the boat and the engines and the drives and stuff for.
Same with the trailer.
Value of the trailer is one thing, replacement value is something entirely different.
Some things I went with replacement value and some things I went with lower price
The boat itself is not insured for THAT much
I think 45 grand (paid 17 for it)
engines are 6000 each
drives are 3600 each
props 500 each

I have replacement value on the townhomes and personal contents.
I have learned from close friends and family that have lost homes and or personal belongings to fire/floods.
I asked about this on the boat when purchased. I had to provide alot of documentation on it. Pictures, actual cost affidavits from the Manufacturer, and then they did an inspection and survey on it. Was not that big of deal, just worth it to me. Main reason was the cost. Was not that much more in premiums then going with book value.
It is a shame that we cannot insure everything this way. NOt actually sure how they can with recreational items. But they say it is insured that way. I just hope I never have to find out.
I have been with this same agent for 13 years.
Only had 3 claims. 2 car accidents. One in 1989 and the other in 2001. ONe boat claim on my old jet boat.
They inspected and paid without a problem. Hell, the first accident happend in Omaha, I dropped the car off at a local dealer I knew from years past at 2 in the morning. When I called them at 10 am when I finally woke up, the car was already approved and in progress getting fixed. They called a local rental agent since i was now in Lincoln that morning. I have never had better service then from my Agent.
Cards for all the holidays, not just christmas. B-days and even Valentimes day.
Maybe its all the people I have sent his way.
I know of at least 12+ people that I have told about and he now insures.

State Farm, AGREED VALUES for me, and verified. Written on policy along with HP.
2001 33ZX T 500's, (boat $170K) $1458 annually $500 deductible, $1000 deductible took it down to $1250.
We were going to upgrade a month or so ago so I looked into it. Took 4 days for State Farms underwriter to get back with my agent. Ocean/Bay.

Current boat, 26ZX, $540 a year, $500 deductible, they bought me a new drive last year, underwater drive strike.
My liability is a $ 1 million, not minimums....
They did raise my deductible to $500 after the second claim.
I have been with them 22 years, that may help, they also have our home, vehicles and other things.
