Mirrored plex glass on engine hatch
Anyone that has used this for the bottom side of the engine hatch have any problems with this. I have heard that the heat in the engine compartment will cause problems. For example, gets wavey or yellows.
Also, what thickness did you use and did it stay flat.
Thanks in advance,
Rick

most people use this "mirror plex" brand stuff
most dont have problems either BUT there are 2 different thicknesses of material 1/8 and 1/4
Most use the 1/4 thick stuff
Never seen it yellow but I do know they have tints to it also
You can get a vareity of tint colors like pink, yellow, ect.
I just need a website for someone that actually SELLS this stuff so I can price out a sheet for under my hatch
If you cheap out like I probably will, you can get some mirror mastik from lowes or Home Depot and glue that sheet to a sheet of clear acryllic on the back or a piece of thin luan or plywood and put that up to give it more strength just as an option
Good luck
