One trim pump on two outdrives
Has anyone tried to use one trim pump on two outdrives? Would you need to add a bigger oil reservoir.
Just wondering if it would keep the trim in sync better.

Mike,
Doubt seriously that this application will function correctly... The efficiency of each ram let alone the delta between drive load will insure that the drives will not be in the same position... For the sake of the cost of a pump I would not think it a practical solution...
Tnx, Karl

This setup will not work. Since both drives are hooked to the same lines in this set up you could freely physically push one drive up the other would go down and vice versa, they would also change trim on their own in turns the inside drive having more water and hence more preasure would get pushed up and the outside drive would come down you would have almost no control of trim sync.

trim pump
If you operate the trim pump with the drive removed the two cylinders never move the same distance. You don't see this with the cylinders attached to the same pin kept parallel to the back pin by the mounting hole in the drive. Due to this obversation I assume the two drives would never be at the same trim level if run from one pump.
