intake I put on a new intake and forgot to put in the drip pan .
How important is this pan?
Can I get by without it?
If I put it back in, will I need to replace my intake gaskets ,The intake and gaskets have only been on for about 48 hours.
This motor has not been run with the new intake and gasket set.
Are the gaskets still usable?
Thanks Nobudget

The pan keeps the hot oil off intake.
You should put it in.
Always change the intake gaskets when you pull the intake. They are already crushed and sealed. They are cheap compared to the labor involved in pulling the intake on and off.
