Hi I have a 2002 29 powerquest with twin 6.2's. It has the through hull with muffler tips and no captains choice. I want to get a little more grumble out of her and I notice there is a little bolt behind the rubber flap. Will takeing this out remove a plate for better sound does anybody have advice thanks!!!

I would bet that bolt holds a deversion baffel (cone shaped) on the inside of the muffler. So no it will not help. Nor do I think you could get it loose, they usually tig weld the nut a little so it does not come off. Have seen people cut the nut off, pull the cone out and use a small hole saw and cut the center out. Pete
