Default This is what I found out on my 24 cat

Stock 25 Mirage + was the fastest. (no brainer)
Merc lab finished 24 bravo 1 was 3.5 to 4 slower than 3 blade.
Stock 23 pitch Rev 4 was 2.5 faster than labbed 24 Bravo 1.

Four blades are hard to beat. They do the best job for 95% of your boating. I loved the Rev 4 until I put on the Imco 2" shortie. Had too much slip with the Rev 4.
Rev 4 dia was 14.625"
Bravo's are 15.125"

You won't know till you test.

Bottom line in my opinion is 4 blades are hard to beat. Better ride, better handling, better cruise. If your boat don't like a 4 blade, try one with a smaller dia.

Hi Mike,

Really, the Rev 4 was faster than the Bravo? I find that I really like the 21 Rev 4 that is on the boat, it is just that it is too small. Most of the time (95%) the boat is running at 35-50 in 3-5 foot chop. I think the 4 blade is the best bet. You agree? With the larger diameter of the Rev, is this a proble for the Bravo 1 drive?

yes the STOCK Rev 4 was faster by 2.5 mph than the MERC LABBED FINISHED Bravo 1.

Rev 4 is 14.625 sorry i made a typo error
Bravo 1 is 15.125

sounds like you need the 23 pitch Rev 4. In stock form it spun like a labbed 24 bravo 1

I don't think you would like a 3 blade in that type of water.

Hi Mike,

Since it is a good bet that I can have the Rev 4's on my boat for nothing, any ideas on getting them re-pitched? Any suggestions on who?

Hi Mike,

I'll check them out. I'm thinking that I will just get them re-pitched for now. I can get an idea of the performance then if I still feel the need, I can Lab them. This is a pleasure boat, not a racer. It will spend most of it's life at 35 to 50 mph. Top speed is rarely an issue here because it is just too rough most of the time.
