For a nose cone to produce noticable increase in top end you need to be at ~90 mph with a Bravo 1. A very telling post a while back described a 90mph+ twin engine boat with Bravos & nose cones had to temporally use a Bravo w/o nose cone on one engine while the other drive was repaired. He said that at 85 mph he had to increase the throttle /rpms on the drive w/o the nose cone to keep the boat headed straight. As the speed was increased the difference in throttle and rpm's between the Bravo w/o the nose cone and the Bravo with the nose cone had to be increased as well to keep the boat going straight.
