Default 320 efi

I did a search on 320efi motors and saw alot of posts from you. I just purchased a 88 rinker 21 ft. bowrider with the 320 efi. I have a problem with powerloss under load, starts and idles great, seems to bog under throttle trying to plane. once on plane, seems better but not great. did a complete tuneup, running on all 8, revs right up in neutral, sounds awesome, MAX i HAVE SEEN IS 4800RPM AND ABOUT 50 MPH. I was told fuel pressure regs. were a prob. with these any thoughts?

you could pick up a pressure tester to see if your fuel pressure isn't where it's supposed to be. I've pretty much given up on the efi setup, I think carbs will just be easier to deal with

I had a friend with that engine. He must've replaced 6 fuel pumps. Finally sold the boat. I'd re-engineer the fuel system with an Aeromotive pump or something. A good engine builder like Tyler Crocket could help with that.

there is a guy by me that just did it and he just had to do carbs and intakes reused the dist he said it was pretty easy. I'm not sure what carb he used ,look for older posts from sonic30ss he changed his boat to carbs and was pretty detailed in what jets and tuning he used
