Best way to go... 575 to 650 HP?
454 engines, 100 hrs on them. made 575 in HP in April and over the winter, want to make them at least 630 HP WITHOUT taking botton ends apart. Dont mind changing from flat tappet cam to roller, but thats it for the bottom. Present cam is a Comp cams grindNX274H. (113 lobe sep/230int..244 exh. dur @50". 551 lift int/ 568 exh.) Has forged standard bore pistons=8.5 to 1 compression. Square port heads and roller rockers. 177 Weiand Blower w/ holley 800 carb and 5 LB boost/bigger pulley. Mercury thunderbolt ignition and Stainless Marine WET exhaust. Made 575 at 5500 RPM and 600LBS torque at 4000 RPM. This is a great combo, but I want to go faster next year. Want to get your guys opinion on what would be the best way to make more power from here without breakin the bank!

I don't know what pulleys you're running, but a 177 is kind of a small blower anyhow for a BBC. You may went to upgrade your blower if you're looking for more than 600Hp.
Remember superchargers are only efficient and produce good power up to a certain RPM, if you keep spinning them faster by using a smaller pulley eventually you lose efficiency and wear the blower out faster.

Yea, well if someone had a reasonably priced set of 250's I would sell my 177's. I only go WOT in short bursts too, 15 seconds max. I get too nervous Im gonna break something! Hhahahaha

Thanks EZ, but I already have both pulleys and belts.
