That's the one and only tool. If you are checking with the engine in the boat, sounds like the alignment is pretty far off.

Hi Blackhawk
I`v got the same problem with the same tool,
is it the meaning for the tool to go all the way
inside the coupler splines?I`v tryed on 2 of my
couplers loose,but it stops on the splines,it`s
too big and thats it.No, I`v on 4 couplers.
