i don't own a whipple but if i could find one for a good price i certainly would!
dustin checks here pretty often and any questions you haev abotu your blower you can post here adn he will answer within a day or two usually.
DUSTIN: If you check in do you have any old blowers laying around needing a home? I got a new 454 mag and i was goign to put a b&m 174 on it but bruce says i am much better off with a bigger blower like a 6-71 or a 8-71. FYI it will be a carb engine, dom 1050 (for the 174) unless in need to run duals (8-71). From what i have heard i would preffer a whipple to an 8-71 if i could find one for a decent price. I do have a few leads on 8-71 but no whipples.

jpc,
Best bet is too indeed order directly from Whipple. I had no problems getting what I needed from the factory. Also, the ECU's (for EFI applications) need to be reflashed for most installations. Sending the ECU's directly to the factory will easily eliminate the middle man. I've also had good support from the factory tech's.
I have Whipple's on a twin 454 mag EFI setup. If you would like to check them out, the boat is up in Southern Lapeer County.
