Default Engine break up

Im running a basically stock carburated 454 on a 24 pantera.
Boat runs great except sometimes running at wide open throtte or a little under btw 4400-4800 rpm its purring like a kitten then acts like its starving for fuel. it breaks up then chockes itself to anout 3000 rpms then powers back up and so on... Im getting 7 pounds of fuel pressure from manual pump, i even tried flipping on electric pump before it chocks but hasnt helpled.. Any ideas??? Im going to try to recheck float bowl level

It sounds like your water sep. It will keep getting worse. Are you sure its fuel related? Also check ignition module and coil etc for loose wires.
