Now your talking my language.
Mine is a 502 with roller cam, ported heads, B&M 250 , 1050 Dominator.
The B&M manual says 28 deg max. When I had my motor dynoed last month, the operator said it liked 34*. I'm staying with 28-30 for comfort. I ran 28* last year and spunit at 5800 with no problem.

THanks us1 fountain ! THats what I thought but couldn't remeber . It is amazing how much you forget over a winter !
Do you run the V-6 module on the thunder bolt ? He doesn't have it yet and I wonder if the V-8 one will work . I think his initial timing will be way too low if he sets it at 28 degrees . What do you think ? My motors are a lot big then his and run 28 with the V6 module . But I don't know if his needs it or not . Thanks ,JOE

Boot,
I'm running a V6 module. I've tried it with and without. the module gives a much smoother idle. I set the advance at 28 and let the base fall where ever the module put it. (I think around 12 - 14). Should work for your buddy.

Huh???????
Boot,
Yes, I'm using the V6 module. Never tried it with my V8 module as I've read/ heard the same as you about the timing at idle.
