Thumbs up

I would like to say thank you very much for getting back to boaters here on OSO with the overall findings and corrections as well as new results after such a longer time frame.
Many posters on here fail to do this and a lot of good knowledge and causes never get diseminated to those here on OSO who can really benefit from your efforts.
Kudos! TO YOU !

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

I spend a lot of time trying to convince people to have their new engine combo put on a dyno and set up properly. (these are guys who build their own and want me to install them). I get the same argument every time, "I dont want to spend $500 or $600 bucks, I know what I am doing". the ones that do it all say it was the best money they spent and the ones that dont usually have me pull the motor back out when it breaks. moral of this thread; clean, clean, clean and when it is done spend the money for the dyno and make the needed changes to make the most of all those expensive parts you just bought.

Great advice.... dyno tuning is really not that big of a deal pricewise after figuring the cost of a complete rebuild.... and it lets you tune for max power and economy... As far as the rebuild and cleaning of my engine, I did all the work myself. Oil cooler/lines were all pulled and cleaned in a solvent based degreaser and no debris noted... Came back from gasparilla festival at 40mph and 3,800rpm purring like a kitty!!!!! TBF
