I will get you the cam numbers out of my old 572 made 720 and great torgue. I can't remember the numbers off the top of my head. But a set of big Merlin heads at least 345's would make a bigger diff and you can find pretty cheap used.

240 248 dur 621 632 lift on a 112 lsa will work better,, get a swap cam on the firing order.. good for 25-30 HP over the 741 also if you ever put some good heads on youll probably gain another 100HP

To be honest i had my AFR's on this set up -- diff cam-- and was making over 700 at 5200 rpm. I had these iron heads, and was hoping to make them work for now...
I'd like to use the afr's on a blower combo.

thinking about --- i'm going to just leave it as is -- it won't be that much difference for the time being

Which AFRs do you have ? is there a reason why you want to take them off ?

I have the 335 CNC heads -- going to use them on another set up --figured the merlins were better suited for this app

The Merlins seem small for that cubic inch, they would be nice on a 454. It also depends on how you are going to use it.
