One of my q-jets is screwed and I am planning on doing some mods pretty soon which included new carbs. So I think im just gonna replace them both now rather than playing with fixing the one. Which carb do you think would be a good choice. I was thinking about the Edelbrock Performer Marine 600 or 750cfm. But will the 750cfm be too much for the stock motors till they re built up a little bit? Also, will there be a big difference in fuel used versus the 600cfm? How about any other carbs out there?
Thanks in advance

I also have 350 mags....... I believe I have stock 600 cfm Webber Carb.
Which are exactly the same as Edelbrock carbs.
Of course you have to have a marine application so your choices are limited.
I was always told that the cfm = rpm. If your not running over 6000 rpm you really don't need to go higher.
(Not sure what's that's worth.)
Good Luck

Thanks guys....I think I am going to go with a set of Edelbrock Marine 600's.
fullthrottle, i know with automobile applications RPM is said to be the determining factor in which size carb. The equation is:
Engine size (CID) x maximum RPM / 3456 = CFM
but i have always broke that rule with my small block 350 in my corvette, and have gone with 750's...been through one edelbrock and 2 Holleys...one heavily modded. but you really need the motor to keep up with the 750, so that why im gonna go with the 600
I appreciate your help guys.

On your combination a 650 Vacuum Secondary would be your best overall choice. A Holley, or Demon style modular carburetor will flow more than the Edelbrock style carburetors are capable of.
