K Plane and Extensions Box?
Why do the install the K-Planes level as apposed to the angle of the haul when extensions box's are on the outdrives (XR's)...I've noticed this this weekend on a Formula 353 2008 and was wondering whats up?

It isn't because of the extension boxes, I have boxes on the 382 and the tabs follow the hull. All original factory setup. I have seen them both ways and I have never gotton a good explanation for the level tabs.

Got this answer on another Forum makes sense....
Makes a more level entry when coming back down in the water after a jump/launch out of the water. This trend started in the 06 model production as best I can tell. I have been shopping Fastech's for a while and 05 and earlier have the angle mounted planes and 06 and later have them horizontal/flat.
Some other boat lines have done this too. Some say better some say it makes no difference.
