Default timing procedure on efi motor

i have a 1999 7.4 mag what is the proper procedure for setting(changing) timing on this motor. i am doing a little start of the season checkup (timing fuel pressure cylinder pressure etc.) and would like to know the correct way to set timing on this motor if it needs to be changed. thanx

You need to contact Rinda technologies to get a trouble code reader for the computer. This device when active also sets the computer in diagnostic mode so that you can set the base timing. It is only about 40 bucks. The web site is www.rinda.com.
