Port side motor wont run

I'lll check that tomorrow. Thanks. I've been doing some research and came across something. It seems that my problems started when I tried to turn with one motor in forward and one in reverse. Could it be the shift interupter switch? I read that it is wired to the coil and my coil has no power. Is that how this switch works, by cutting the power to the coil, shutting down the engine?

Also...check and make sure your tethered kill switch (the one your supposed to hook to yourself) is in it's proper position. I had a motor that wouldn't fire once...found out that that motors kill switch had gotten bumped. Pulled it out all the way...and the motor fired right up.

I've messed with it but it seems to make no difference what I do. Doesn't do anything but spin. Tried to pull it out or off (if that's what it's supposed to do) but all it seems to do is spin or turn. Looks like I'll have to mess with it some more. Is there an easy way to by pass it? Be nice to exhaust all options before I start spending money.

Alright guys. I don't know much, but this is what I do know. Plenty of fuel getting to the port side carb. Turn the key to power, but not start the starbord motor and the gauges jump to life. Not so port side. Power at both solenoids (sp?). Power to starbord coil. No power to port coil. Going to replace the fuel/water seperators tomorrow.
Could this be an ignition switch issue even though the switch turns the motor? The cap and rotor wasn't bad. Cleaned up with a wire brush.
Hope to figure this out tomorrow. It's fleet week in the SF Bay. Sunday the Blue Angles are to perform over the bay. Be nice to see it from the boat.

could be the purple lead on the starter soolenoid or the low oil warning system sender,,,,run a hot jumper wire to hot side of coil an see if startsmif so track down the problem
